| Besides
the expected deer, bear, rabbits, owls, bats,
hawks, geese, raccoons, wolves, and so on (not
even mentioning the various domesticated beasts)
found in forested areas, the Ramtops are home to
many specialized animals. |
| The
Lancre Reciprocating Fox- has a
reddish-brown coat, with golden markings around
its snout, and is about the size of a large
domestic cat. Supposedly acts like a warrior
about to go into battle and is known for its cry,
which sounds like a lone walker falling off a
cliff. |
| |
| The
Wowhawk or Lappet-Faced Worrier- small
and shortsighted and preferrs to walk everywhere.
Faints at the sight of blood. About twenty
wowhawks could kill a pigeon, if it was a sick
pigeon. Often falls asleep upside down. |
| |
| Other
Ramtops birds include: the Lancre Crowhawk and the
Lancre Suicide Thrush |
| |
| The
Lancre Saddleback- best breeding pig on
the Discworld. |
| |
| Vermine-
a more cautious relative of the leming, they only
throw themselves over small peddles. Their pelts
are much desired by the weathy as fashion
accesories, though the greedy little buggers
fight to hold on to it for themselves. |
